An Introduction
Solomon said, “Of the making of books there is no end,” Eccl. 12:12. That was thousands of years ago, and books are still being written. It is practically impossible to count the number. Yet, some books are more important than others. To Christians, the Bible continues to be the most important book of all. However, through the years, books about the Bible have been written that inform, instruct and educate. These reference materials permit Christians today to profit from the efforts of others over the years.
It is the purpose of this Bible Study Resource Library page to provide access to many volumes not readily available. Our webmaster, Bro. Kevin Greer, has diligently searched countless websites and collected a mass of valuable books for immediate availability. This is a tremendous library - - covering writings of brethren over the centuries as well as denominational creeds, written sermons, word studies, and tools which allow our knowledge to increase. This page is designed so that interested folks can open almost all of the books directly, without linking to another site, and have immediate access to this treasure trove. And, thanks to Bro. Greer, this page will be continually updated.
When you realize the importance of this page to your studies, please inform others who would be interested in such studies and spread the news. - - Tom Roberts
About This Library:
The books and other materials in this library are, for the most part, in standard .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format. (This also is the case with documents which are accessed via hyperlinks) While the file format of the material is largely the same, please bear in mind that, with .pdf documents; just as with the books in a regular, hard-copy library; not all the material will have the same size, look or style.
We have tried to make sure we have not included any copyrighted material without permission and the due acknowledgment of intellectual property rights. If you find that certain books, etc.; which you may want to read are not included here, this will be one reason. If you find material which you believe is an infringement of copyright or other intellectual property rights; please use the form on the Contact Us page to let us know as soon as possible, so we may correct the situation.
Another reason for a particular book or author not being included in this collection would be if such material is inappropriate (as determined by the editor and/or owners of this website). There are some instances (as with the sections of the library which contain denominational creeds, debates, etc.), where materials which teach or promote error in doctrine and practice, or foster divisions in the church of our Lord may be included; however, all diligence will be given to clearly identifying them as such.
Finally, we acknowledge that no library (assembled for Bible Study or any other purpose) can "have it all". John 21:25 comes to mind, here.
Please use what you find in our library for your edification, the upbuilding of the church which belongs to Christ, and the spread of God's Kingdom. - - Kevin L Greer, webmaster

CREEDS, CREEDS, AND MORE CREEDS
Any believer in the Spirit inspired scriptures realizes the fulness of revelation and has faith in the inerrant word of God. As 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 asserts: 16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” This truth makes any man-made creed superfluous! Yet they continue to multiply and those who accept them are led into a maze of contradictions, suppositions, and out-right dispute with the word of God. In fact, some of modern “translations” are no more than a twisted scripture (2 Peter 3:16) so as to include creedal material in their “bible.” For example, the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) add a “second gospel” (Gal. 1:6-9), while others, such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect have their own individual translation, slanted to their advantage.
While we note the errors of creedal statements (if the Bible is complete, we need nothing more, less or other than scripture), they are a fact of religious life. Unity as taught by Jesus and his apostles is impossible in this complex atmosphere. As evident from the message of the apostle Paul: “10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [a]speak the same thing, and that there be no [b]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” Every creedal statement is a barrier erected to separate one religion from another. Creedalism destroys unity!
Why then have a section in our website that contains actual creeds? The simple answer is that we need to compare doctrinal error with biblical truth. Evangelism is strengthened when Christians can point out the contradictions in the creeds as distinguished from scriptural truth. We must know the truth completely and lay it side by side with creeds to expose every single one of them. Consequently, we have provided a large number of creeds in this section so that readers may learn for themselves the danger of creedal statement. Read them, study them, expose their error and let that enable you to understand more completely how powerful is the word of God. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” (John 8:32).
